ATTENTION!! Mcedit has not been updated since 1.11, and stopped working after 1.12. This was the program I used to make, edit, and place my tree schematics. It was the only method I personally knew how to use. As it is no longer being updated, I've lost interest in working on these tree packs. I've heard that an editor called Amulet is being worked on, but as there is no set release date, I have no idea when or if it'll be completed. Until Amulet is released, or a suitable replacement method is found, these packs will likely remain incomplete. If anyone has an alternative that they now of, feel free to drop me a message or leave a comment. I check back infrequently but I do come here once in a while. Thanks for everyone's support so far, I do hope to return to these someday.

Yet another tree pack! This one contains species native to the region roughly comprising northern Texas to Maine in the US, as well as a small portion of southeast Canada (does not include the deep south!). It will contain over 30 species when done!

Schematics are in a zip file, which PMC is labeling "Download Minecraft Map". I've also uploaded a flatmap showcasing every tree made so far.

THIS IS AN ONGOING PROJECT! MORE TREES WILL BE ADDED AS I MAKE THEM!
Here is a complete list of trees made so far:

American Mountain Ash
- small (6m)
- large (10m)
Black Ash
- small (13m)
- large (22m)
Eastern Hemlock
- small (9m)
- medium (19m)
- large (28m)
Grey Birch
- small (7m)
- large (12m)
Ohio Buckeye
- small (13m)
- large (19m)
Red Maple
- small (11m)
- medium (15m)
- large (20m)

CreditThanks to Steelfeathers (and those who help keep it updated) for the Dandelion resource pack!

I made an account just for this.
How exactly do I use them? I installed the zip file and copied the schematic files to my schematic folder but I couldn't load them. I also tried changing the names but it didn't work either, It said that it didn't exist

I'm so sorry for this VERY late response. I've been super busy and haven't been online in months. You use them with MCEdit. That's the only way I know of, although I've heard there are other programs to use with a schematic.
After installing MCedit, and placing and unzipping the schematic somewhere you will find them, load up a map in MCedit, click the "import" button, select a tree schematic, and then place it in your world. You can adjust the position, rotate, and mirror them before committing to a placement in the program, which helps you to make much more realistic forests with them. You can even adjust the scale, although be careful with that one, as it can deform the tree a lot.

And again, sorry for the very belated response!

Do you plan on handling the native fruit trees, such as stuff like Pawpaws? If so, how?

Good question! Until now, I'd actually never heard of the Pawpaw, but it's been added to the "unfinished" list.

Well, I'm just starting to experiment with dealing with large fruit/flowers in trees, but there are two possible solutions for now: wool, or glass. A third solution would be using flowers, but I have yet to find a way around block updates. The American Mountain Ash, which I've already released, uses orange stained glass to represent the large clumps of berries that it has, and I'm going to update the Desert Willow from my southwest pack to have purple stained glass for it's flowers.

Since, this is a new experiment, I'd love to hear some feedback on how it looks. :)

For me, the download is working. Can you be more specific?

Keep in mind, the schematic folder download is labeled "Download Minecraft Map", which is something that PMC is doing now, unfortunately. I guess they're now assuming that the only thing people are downloading is maps, which is clearly untrue.
