This is a tripwire hook Detector i have created. I haven't seen anything like this so far, so here it is. a tutorial will be typed below (please refer to the images for the tutorial.)
-Step 1.
Make 2 Pillars out of your material 2 blocks high and spaced 5 blocks apart. Next, add tripwire-hooks to the top of the two pillars. (Fig.1)
-Step 2.
Then add a line of string across the bottom of the two pillars, then add another line of string on top of the one you laid previously. NOTE: the wool is there to show the line. (Fig. 2)
-Step 3.
Next, remove the bottom, middle 3 pieces and add 2 half-slabs in front of the bottom 2 pieces of string. (Fig. 3)
-Step 4.
Lastly, add your mob tube, and water. as mobs pass by the floating string, the 2 bottom pieces will connect the two hooks without actually being connected, thus giving a Redstone signal. (Fig. 4)
P.S. Sorry, i only have the MC edit schematic as of now.
