I maked a upgrade of this.
*display 236x255
*better ROM for custom image.
Detaill of this: Now he ROM read: one "oak trapdoor" to "ON pixel" no needed a trapdoor for desactive Vertical line. This   allow better "ON OFF ON" frequency and can make images for pixel arts. example this

Hi, thxs.

This has a long Explanation:

IMPORTANT: I have sent you a privately saved world file to perform this experiment, then you will decide whether to publish it or not.

To generate the image I have carried out several conversion steps that will be detailed below.

World adaptation:
* With the mod "World Edit" for MC 1.16 we select everything related to the circuit using the ax to mark the first and second position (opposite corners).

First Pos. (attack button)

Second Pos. (Iteract button)

* Once selected: we execute the following mod commands for the first part of the conversion:
"// replace target white_wool" (To replace the "target" block with "White wool")
"// replace scaffolding orange_wool" (To replace the "scaffolding" block with "Orange wool")
"// replace honey_block magenta_wool" (To replace the block "Honey block" with "Magenta wool")

Conversion of world to MC 1.12.2 to be read by McEdit:
* Using "Minecraft Tools" "github.com/Jupisoft111/Minecraft-Tools/releases"

_ Tool: "World conversion to 1.12"

You must convert the world to MC 1.12 and it will be generated with the name of the "Date and hour".
* Once the conversion is done, we leave it compatible to import a ROM with a custom image.

The ROM:

ROM work:

ROM has three main phases.
* Select X (First)
* Run X (Using Y pos.)
* Delete previous selection of X (Second)
_Repeat...

For this to work, the Oak_trapdoor must be anchored to the cobblestone wall, those on both sides and placed in the same coordinates to correctly execute the deletion of X.

The ROM timer:
It has been modified to adapt the times of the three phases

Knowing this we go on to ...

Generating a custom image for the ROM:
With "spritecraft" "www.autosaved.org/Spritecraft" a tool that converts an image into minecraft blocks we will generate our first image instance.
For it:
0* We select the image.
1* We configure the block filter
2* Set "Black and White Wood" or you can experiment with this point
3* We set the maximum X / Y (255x236)
4* Create blueprint

Preview:
0* Save the .Schematic file
1* Exit Spritecraft

Importing to ROM:
* With the McEdit open the world converted to 1.12.
* If the ROM already has "oak trapdoors", replace them with "air"
* Import the schematic saved by Spritecraft and paste it near the ROM.
* Press "G" (Mirror) so that the image is not inverted.
* Replace the "Black or White Wool" with "oak trapdoors"
* Replace the remaining "Wool" with "Air"
* We cut and glue the trapdoors inside the ROM considering that they must be anchored to the "cobblestone wall" (facing = north / facing = south) and in the same lines for both sides of the cobblestone wall.
* Save changes and exit McEdit

Final stage:
* Open the converted world using MC 1.16.5
* Select the edges with the ax as was done at the beginning.
* Execute the following commands to return the blocks that do not exist in MC 1.12:
"// replace white_wool target"
"// replace magenta_wool honey_block"
"// replace orange_wool scaffolding"

and these commands will reactivate the function of the sands of the soul:
"// replace soul_sand gold_block"
"// undo"

When executing these commands, the screen will randomly change the state of its pixels.
But here I leave you an image of how the standby state should normally look like:

And the normal state of the clean selection of (X)

Lastly, check the status of the bubble columns

Good luck and tell me the results you got.
