Tupolev Tu-27 Solovey [Luscinia] (NATO: Backfire-FS) is an experimental russian gunship, based on Tupolev Tu-22M3 Backfire-C. It was developed in early 2030s for testing american tactics of aerial fire support and as reply on new US Lockheed AC-192 Wraith. Under this project three Tu-22M3s were equipped by two 122mm 2A95 TVP-1 cannons, one 57mm 2A91 autocannon and two detachable gun pods. Aircraft had no more capability of carrying nuclear weapon, but still could launch small missiles, like 3M14AE Calibr-A (Club-A), and had two bomb bays. In russian designation this aircraft was classified as "ground-support flying artillery". Tu-27 didn't completed testings due to its high price and great amount of attack aircrafts in russian air force, so no more Tu-22M3s were converted, but three experimental planes kept serving in strategical aviation as escort ground-attack bombers.
Great credits to xman711-gaming for original build of Tu-22M3! I changed it a bit, add camoflauge and interior.
