If you enjoyed my Type 23-class frigate that I posted yesterday, then you'll definitely enjoy this. This is the most recent warship I've built, constructed in September 2021 and is the second largest warship I've ever designed. It's the Type 45-class destroyer of the Royal Navy, our main carrier escorts and leading surface combatants. Highly advanced destroyers with stealth capability and the latest radar equipment, they are impressive warships and six of these ships currently serve in the Royal Navy. This was a fun ship to design, not as much fun as my personal favourite the Type 23 but a little less complicated due to its smoother hull form and superstructure.
The trickiest part was getting the scale right on sections of the superstructure in the centre of the ship, due to a lack of good images at certain oblique angles and also designing the main tower with the radome, which was a new challenge for me. I'm delighted with how this ship turned out. I hope you guys like it too.
Armament is as follows:
1 x 113mm/55 BAE Systems Mark 8 Mod 1 Gun [1 x 1]
2 x 30mm/75 Oerlikon DS30B Autocannons [2 x 1]
2 x 20mm/99 CIWS M61A1 Gatling OGB Block 1B Guns In Vulcan Phalanx Mark 72 Mounts [2 x 1]
2 x 7.62mm M134 Miniguns [2 x 1]
6 x 7.62mm FN MAG General-Purpose Machine Guns [6 x 1]
1 x 48-Cell Sylver Vertical Launching System A50 For Aster 15 Or Aster 30 Missiles [1 x 48]
8 x Harpoon Anti-Ship Missiles [2 x 4] (no longer deployed but I've included them because at least one ship operated them in 2021)
A formidable armament on a highly capable warship. It can also carry an ASW-equipped maritime helicopter such as the Wildcat or the Merlin with either air-dropped torpedoes or depth charges, or missiles. There is only one more ship left to post and then I'll be taking a break from Planet Minecraft. Hopefully, I'll be returning with some more ships, but don't expect anything for a little while yet.
I will speak again tomorrow with my favourite build so far and my biggest ship to date, the Dunkerque-class battleship.

Unfortunately, the map is not available for download at this time, in fact, none of my creations are. This is because they took an enormous amount of work and I wouldn't want a) for credit to be stolen or b) to not receive at least a small remuneration from the general public for my hard work.
For the foreseeable future, these maps won't be available for public download. I'm sorry.
