Ultamate Bows has been released, I have been working on it for a while and kept it a secret, it is 95% done, if you have ideas for weapons leave them in the comments, I am working on crafting stations using the execute command, the help book, bombs, etc. It is for MC 1.8. The structure is HUGE though so you should start a new world.
