Ultimate Trade center - IMAGES BELOW OUTDATED

Introduction
The ultimate trade center is a redstone build that allows players to trade items with each other. It is 100% vanilla compatible and can be used on any type of server, as it is a great substitute for possibly lag causing trading plugins.This project is the outcome of me building a trade center for my SMP server, Jellteks (mc.jellteks.com), and is actively and so far successfully used.

Features
This trade center/trade booth is one like no other, as it has multiple features to prevent scam and theft.

  • Light indication (Shows if the trading partner is willing to accept the trade)

How it works
This trade center has two sides, one for each player and both with equal controls.

Once the players have entered, the doors have to be closed in order for the trade center to work; this is the anti-theft feature and prevents trading with open doors. Note that both players have to activate the door close lever in order for both doors to close, they work together.

The players then proceed to throw the items they are willing to trade into the hole containing the water.

If both players are happy with the items, they can accept the trade using the other lever. Once someone accepts the trade, the redstone lamp will light up on the other side notifying the trading partner.

Once both players accept the trade the iron trap doors will close, preventing the players to retrieve their items before the trade is complete (anti scam feature), and the pistons will retract allowing the water to push the items to the receiver.

In the end, both players are encouraged to put all levers back to the default position allowing others to use the tradecenter again.
