So I like building useful machines in survival, and I'm currently working on the fifth version of my sorting machine (which will be able to sort every stackable item in vanilla minecraft into categorised silos, barring all the variations of banners and tropical fish). Above and around it will be every kind of autofarm i can think of, although currently only the iron farm (which also produces wheat, carrots, potatoes and beetroot) and most of the gold farm is built. The sorter includes overflow protection, integrated autofurnace, an autobin (for getting rid of stuff the autofarms produce that we don't want, such as poppies), automatic silo dumping, and many lights to tell you things :D

Apart from the individual filter components and the autofurnace, it's all my own design (well the iron farm is my improved version of a pretty standard design but still).

I've added a world download so you can have a look at the partially-completed machine; I've also posted a map in the pictures section. (edit - new dl added with a functioning sorter! :D Some items are still missing from the filter banks however, they're marked in red on the spreadsheet)

Edit: this project is unfortunately long abandoned, the world has been inactive for a while. I took so long building the damn thing it never really got used :/
