This has been one of my most time-consuming and exhaustive projects yet. This is a fully accurate replica of the US Botanic Garden, a large greenhouse and garden park that sits just 800 feet from the steps of the Capitol Building. I have also built the triangular Bartholdi Park, which is across the street and is under the USBG's supervision. The buildings, paths, trees, and even plants you see are all as accurate as they could possibly be in Minecraft. This is thanks to google street view, which covers the entire site, including the building's interior--which is also included here.
Bartholdi park has recently undergone an extensive renovation, but google has not updated their imagery, so this is how it looked a few years ago.
This is a project I have been working on on and off for the past year, and it has taken so much time mainly because i'm not very good with organic things; I usually like to build buildings. That being said, if you would like to compare my version to real life, here is a link to it in google earth. Drop the figure in the bottom right corner anywhere and it will give you a panoramic image that you can compare with mine.
