Being a member of the John C. Butler-class Destroyer Escorts, the ship escorted cargo vessels in the Pacific between June and August 1944. Eventually she was promoted to escorting small Aircraft Carriers during the beginning of the Battle of Leyte Gulf. After the battle though she was torpedoed and sunk presumably by Japanese Submarine I-45 on October 28, 1944 with a loss of 76 crew members. The surviving 139 crew members were rescued by a pair of nearby ally Destroyers.

My build of the Eversole has a complete and historically accurate interior modeled after an inboard profile of a John C. Butler-class Destroyer Escort. The camouflage pattern is accurate to what the Eversole sported at the time of her sinking.

Dimensions of the build
L - 190
W - 21
H - 52.5
