Here's a special treat for all of you! Please take the time to give a diamond, this was a lot of work. However, I love doing this stuff and I'd be glad to help anyone learn or become better. Thanks for the support, and enjoy!

A nice about 2k x 2k map with much to see. Please enjoy!

I did not use worldmachine, and I want to make it clear, I do not like worldmachine at all. I just do not feel that people use their skill making it, rather than letting WM make partly random worlds while you do not do as much editing and skills yourself. I think worldpainter really needs you to learn techniques and takes time and skill, and I am honored to meet anyone who shares my skills. Regardless of which programs you terraformers use, feel free to comment some tips or your projects or profile, I would love to see what you all can do!

Try watching different worldpainter videos on youtube. They teach a lot of different stuff, somethings you'll only find on some videos. It's unfortunate Jamziboy when into world machine, and now most of his videos won't have a lot on worldpainter. Though you should be able to make it by without him. Some brushes I only obtained through projects with higher class people who have lots of resources. It's all about going out into the world and finding different projects that people start up and join them. This is an adventure, and the more you adventure, the more experience you get.

Well, I now have custom brushes and should be uploading a map with those soon... would you mind telling me how I could personally improve? (I'm not forcing you) Thanks.

I also am not a huge fan of using world machine. it leaves a different feel than just using world painter.

I never used to like WorldMachine, but once you start using it to make some brushes and stuff or even just making some maps you start to see how hard it actually is and how much work you need to put into it to make an outstanding map, I myself perfer WorldPainter because it just feels right for me.

I don't agree with your stament about World Machine, it's the ametures that make WM look bad and too easy. With them only using thier ad. perlin, and erosion, once people get more into WM it does take skill to make maps look good.  I mean, with world painter, you can just use a custom brush and you got a nice looking mountain. But oh well, not many people agree with me anyway.

Well I often think that besides master WM, you tend to stray from worldpainter techniques and use mostly worldmachine to do a lot of the work. Very few people even do biome painting these days, and there's a lot of other things missing. I also think world machine does a lot of the work for you, and while there are things in it that are time consuming, I feel it's less you making the map and more of you clicking a few places and the map makes itself. In worldpainter, you can't click 3 different spots and a river appears. You have to carve out the river, smooth it, and carefully perfect it. Anyway, I really appreciate that you took the time to comment your views on this, so happy terraforming!

I gree with a few points, Funny thing is that every one of my maps are half WM and half WP,  I make all of my brushes in WM. I also know that it does take skill in WM, When you are messing with paramiters, flowmaps, slopes. It does take a ton of math. that stuff is really advanced tho, I'm still touching on it. but I feel that WP and WM take around hte same effort. There are masterpieces that have been both done in WM and WP. both take around the same amount of time.

It's one of things that you have to try at, you think it's easy. but it's not.
