Hello,
this is a VW bus being Volkswagen's second car model after the VW Beetle (VW Käfer). It sometimes is referred to as Volkswagen Type 2 for this reason.
But JEK, why is it so high?
Because it often was used by hippies in the 1960s. No, okay, jokes aside. Here's the thing: a VW bus' wheels are not a full meter in diameter - which they are in Minecraft. So, to build a VW bus in Minecraft with correct proportions, I had to make the whole bus one block taller than I did initially (which caused many problems). Raising its height by one block, making it as big as a truck, solved all my problems instantly and the rest of the design flowed together all by itself. That's why it is so high. I mean tall.
If you really wanted to build a 1:1 VW bus, you would have to make the wheels half a block in diameter (cause that's approximately how tall they are in reality), leaving the only option of skulls as wheels. Then the whole design would shrink by a factor of 2, so the bus would end up with the correct height of 2.25 meters and not 4.5 meters.
Enjoy!

Have something to say?
I was just wondering if you have a newer schematic file or if this schematic file still works. I want to build it in my world, however this post is a few years old so a mod like litematica doesnt work with this.
Still an amazing build 8 years later!
Yeah, it really is an old build, however I just downloaded the schematic file myself and successfully pasted it in a 1.21.11 world with World Edit.
Even the custom heads and banners are all correct, only the item frames seem to be missing, but I think that's because I didn't know how to copy entities at the time I made the schematic. So the schematic is fine.
However, whenever someone tells me there's a problem with the schematics, they're always using Schematica or Litematica. I have never had anyone use World Edit and tell me the schematics don't work.
So I would advise you to get World Edit and paste the schematic with it. If you need a schematic for Litematica, paste my original schematic into a temporary world and make a schematic for Litematica from that.
Hope you have a wonderful day and please do tell me if it still didn't work with World Edit :P
Anyways, I got them from "Minecraft Heads". Here are the links to each one:

Exhaust: https://minecraft-heads.com/custom-heads/decoration/20430-exhaust-pipe

Copy the /give command and paste it in a command block and let the command block execute it. For some reason you can't execute the /give command yourself.
And thank you! :D
So how to create it ? :D
For the banners in the middle you need a light gray banner with dark gray dyed bordure indented, a white per pale (inverted), a white pale, a white base, a cyan per bend (sinister) inverted and a white chief.
