Wells Fargo Center, formerly known as Norwest Center, is the third tallest building in Minneapolis, Minnesota, after the IDS Center and Capella Tower. Completed in 1988, it has a height of 774 ft (235.6 m). For many years, it was believed to be a foot lower than Capella, but this structure currently has a different height. Norwest Center was designed with an art deco style modernized by César Pelli, reflecting nearby structures such as Qwest Building and Foshay Tower, which is located several blocks away. He is also considered by many to be a tribute to the GE Building at Rockefeller Center in New York.
