A white castle with a courtyard, I'm still working on this one, and I will add more to it,....every day?.... every week?... idk, what should I do? also, what else should I build? nice work on the symmetry, I would suggest maybe expanding your colour palette by maybe 2 or 3 blocks such as snow or light wooden planks, mainly on the towers.

Also, a few trees dotted around the castle would draw away from the fact it was built on a flat map and give your build more dynamics.

I know, I don't have any programs that allow me to alter maps, and Minecraft mountains can be all weird and bent over, I need a custom map that is realistic looking, and yet is fattened out enough to allow me to build :(

You should consider downloading 'singleplayer commands which includes world edit' Fantastic for terraforming and building large creations in singleplayer mode.

Or there's 'world painter' An external program for making minecraft terrain (easy to download and use)
