SLOT 6:
A Minecraft Resort in Paradise

Steve had loved his life. He loved mining and exploring. It seemed that each day got better. Steve built castles, skyscrapers, and tremendous monuments to show his pride. Steve frolicked in grassy fields and danced in the sun. When night came, he placed torches around his house and admired his handiwork. It seemed life was perfect for Steve.

That iso ¦ until Survival Test.

Now, Steve finds himself waking on deserted continents. But before he can start a home it is getting dark. He spends nights alone, panicking in a dim dirt hut. He can't go anywhere without a skeleton attacking him. Spiders keep finding ways into his house. Every night he checks under his bed for Herobrine. He misses having time to stop and pick the roses. He misses digging straight now. o ¦and don't even let him get started on the creepers.

And just when Steve is ready to give up, he gets a letter. A letter signed by Notch himself. An invitation to an island, just off the coast of Monuriki. Steve reads on. Notch writes of how much gratitude he has for Steve and tells him about the trip. Steve has been granted a free stay at a resort called "SLOT 6." He chuckles, remembering the old days when there were only five world saves.

So Steve accepts the invitation. Steve comes to the island. o ¦and that's when the adventure in paradise begins!

My resort is finally complete! The resort is modeled after tourist resorts, like Atlantis or Club Med. The buildings are spread out, and I didn't have enough time to connect them with paths, so you will have to forge your own way!

Here are some of the resort's features:

A sweet grand entrance
A large 5-star hotel, complete with an elevator that services multiple floors and a lounge.
9 unique cabanas, which are located just off of the island.
An arcade/casino
A nightclub
Three restaurants
A large spa
A fun beach playground
A big pool and hot tub
A lover's cove, filled with romantic surprises.
Many sports, including tennis, ping pong, volleyball archery, golf, and basketball.
A hiking path
A zen garden and a meditation area
Gardens, benches, and barbecues scattered around the island
Small things like gazebos, fire pits, and tiki heads.

And much, much more!

I woke up at 5:42 this morning to put on finishing touches! Everything is complete, although I wish I'd had time to do a few more things. I'm pretty satisfied with everything. I doubt I'll win, but I think I might make the top 100.

Sorry for not posting in a while. I uploaded the world around 10 (I was in the middle of a class at school). Around 7 PM I updated the project description. I added background info, changed the link to an ad.fly, and updated stuff. I'm a bit worried that since I edited after noon it will no longer count for the contest. If it has been removed from the thread please message me ASAP.

Tonight I will upload pictures (I'm going to try and make a video) and message around the forums to get noticed.

what i think;
terrible!
NO JUST KIDDING
this map is awesome
i love the use of a little redstone
and there is MUTCH minecraft bug tech;
like half beds, half doors and SO much more great uses of minecraft bugs
in combination with a little genius of minecraft.
if i need to give this a note/score
it is
lets see;

a 8.9/10

if there was a little more on the island -and i know that he can do that- it would be for 100% sure, a 9.5/10

i give my complements for the the making of this map and if you don't mind, i really would like to get some of your stuff on my own server -tell my pls if that's oke-

whoa... thanks man! that's really awesome. Sure you can put my stuff on your server just as long as you give me credit.

I don't actually play on any servers right now (really busy with schoolwork) so if you'd like me to visit yours than I'd love that.
