This tower has been used for many years to uphold the protective barrier enshrouding the castle.
Created generations ago by the Grand Wizard Archon, the duty of maintaining the protective barrier has traditionally fallen to each of his decendants.
His current descendant, the court mage Malleus, went missing some time ago, and it's now only a matter of time before the barrier fails...
Made for the Community Castle Jam, the structure is floating off the ground in the world to help with copying it onto the main castle structure.

But there's so much to wonder about! Is the barrier somehow powered by familial magicks? Who or what might be eyeing the kingdom once the barrier falls? AND WHERE IS MALLEUS?? (Oh, and fun etymology - the grand wizard's name literally translates to 'ruler,' while his heir is the 'hammer'!)
