The World of Xave

Update: This map will become an adventure map and a much smaller scale work. I'll be working on a story to go with the map, but currently I have a lot of building to do in terms of architecture. We'll see how this all turns out! There will also be three different versions of the map. One without the Simple NPCs mod, and one without it. The story will hold either way, but one will have more trading and more complexity in getting armor and weapons.

The main page for the world of Xave. All areas will be linked to this project file. I'm really excited to get this going. Assuming I have time to devote to it with work and all... Anyway, here's the plan.

Kingdoms
These are the various kingdoms set around the world. Each city in each kingdom will be at least a (minecraft) day's journey between cities. A lot of walking and a lot of work for me to find places to put these. The main differentiation between all of the various kingdoms is the architecture. I would LOVE suggestions for architecture and even some models and housing stuff. Heck, if you build a sweet building and I really like it, if you're willing, I might throw it in and create an entirely new culture just to have that building! Give me ideas! They're always welcome!
-Dwarven
-Various Human Cultures
-Elven?
-Goblin/Orc
-suggestions?

Clans
In every world, there are groups of people -- cults, clans, groups -- that seperate themselves from society. Here are some of my ideas for different towns, buildings, and communities that may be found scattered around the world of Xave.
-Wizards
-Thieves
-Pirates
-Monks
-Nether Worship

Locations
Here's where I'm going to put the suggestions/ideas for different locations that I get.
-Floating on Ocean

Material Groups
Now, I consider myself a Semi-talented builder. So I believe that every city is built off of two or three basic materials. Here is the list of the groups of materials I think will look good together. Keep in mind I am using DokuCraft, these may not all look good together in anything else. The blocks go in order of Accent/Main/Pathway. This is not to say that I will not use the other materials elsewhere, but this is a guideline.
-Diamond (Ore)/Sandstone/Planks
-Wood/Bricks/Gravel

Dungeons
So, around the world will be various temple sort of things which double as dungeons. I'm really excited to work on these! I NEED IDEAS ON WHAT SORT OF OBSTACLES TO PUT INTO THESE!

Any other suggestions are largely welcome and appreciated! Please! leave a comment or send me a message!

hermits, nomads, those would be good isolated places

Nomads are iffy because they travel so much, and their homes are meant to move easily and to not leave any traces. Hermits are different. There will probably be a couple of random homes with farms out back hidden along the country side. Only time will tell!

That's already in the plans! Some monasteries and other groups that are set apart from regular society will be involved in the overall world.

I hope to see good things from this!
You should add a kingdom of giants, in a snow bome, where verything is very primitive and viking-like.
Another kingdom could be the kingdom of sea-men underwater where everything is udnerwater, it's compeltely self-sufficient,etc.
Lastly there could be a demon kingdom in the nether, full of medieval-like buildings, cannosn to shoto at ghasts, etc.
