The Selvik-class was an autonomous spacecraft designed to mine asteroids and salvage material from decommissioned stations and ships. The drone was equipped with two hardpoints on its bottom able to connect to many of the industrial tools the manufacturer, CrystalX Stardrives, sold separately. Additionally, the ship used the TI-NMA-231 Nash connector standard established by Ivesceel's Miner Association, which meant almost any third-party equipment could be hooked up to the ship. The mounting stations could be moved along one axis on rails, with the tools giving any other axes of rotation. The Selvik-class also had a cargo hold with 200 cubic meters of storage space, and an industrial-grade tractor beam array to draw material or components into the bay. As a relatively small salvage drone the Selvik-class did not have an FTL drive or particularly good acceleration, but was equipped with two of both deflector and concussion shield systems to mitigate collisions with debris. The Selvik-class was quite popular among smaller mining and salvage companies, alleviating labor costs and being able to perform less safe operations, although the craft was more expensive to purchase and maintain than a manned vessel.
