Throwable bombs in Minecraft (1.8+)

This Command will summon a little device, which will add a bunch of features, especially interesting for Minecraft mapmakers
  • if the player drops a tnt-block, the drop will summon a fused tnt
  • the tnt won't cause any blockdamage, except for silverfish-spawnerblocks
  • the tnt will hurt the player as well as monsters
  • the tnt will cause the normal particles and sounds
Use it for your Adventuremap to give the players bombs causing no blockdamage, but hurting entitys and destroying "hidden" blocks. Create hidden doors using the silverfish-spawnerblocks surrounded by normal blocks.

Important notes:
  • Under certain conditions a Creeper appears for a second when the tnt explodes. That's how the device works, so just ignore it.
  • In the unlikely case the drop is too close to a wall, it might be possible that it looks like the tnt would stuck in the wall. Although the device will work for those fused tnt-blocks for sure.
  • Remember that all dropped tnt-blocks will summon a fused tnt, so if you want to use it for your Adventuremap, make sure you give the player the bombs as blocks (for example in a chest) and not as a drop.
  • Feel free to edit the commandblocks.
