Zion canyon is a beautiful slot canyon containing some of the highest sandstone walls in the world. I recently took a trip here and did the "top down" hike a 16 mile canyoneering trip through the canyon. I decided id want to try and recreate that in minecraft. 
How- 
Using satellite data i was able to import a heightmap intointo mc then edited it from there and created a section of the narrows in zion national park 
The land is absolutely stunning i really was amazed at how well it came out. 
-limited resources (ores,caves,forests,) 
-hardcore survival it will be a challenge to play this map as the entire place is desert 
-minecraft vanilla structures
