Originally home to Elves and Dwarves, the realm of Aldenor has become a bustling home for humans and even the orcs in more recent years. Regardless this region of Iltharia stands as one that remains relatively untamed, much like the spirits of those who inhabit it. Over the centuries this land has seen its fair share of peace, war, victory and loss. Despite this those who call Aldenor home remain to call it a paradise for all those who choose to travel to this realm.

Elves:

Native to Aldenor, the Elves hold great pride in their traditions and commonly see themselves as superior to the other races that call this land their home. The two major races include that of the High Elves and the long-gone Drow, who's disappearance still serves as a troubling hole in history to scholars who study what little remains of them to this day. The High Elves, however, continued to thrive and played a major role in the Veiled Shore War when the humans began settling in Aldenor, later serving as a main power during the Great War against the orc masses.

"ELVES - THE OLD EMPIRE - As seen with their escapades with their ancient lost and fallen kin the Drow and with us knowing they are the ones who provoked humanity because Aldenor was their land; they had every right to defenc what was theirs. This can most apparently be seen with the Elven Writ of Tradition (Social Code between one another), the ancient technologies they have forgotten and left for time to allow to wither away, their forbidden history, and their structure of government, something that focuses on tradition, a heavy respect of authority, and obedience above all else to the Sovereign. This is a TOP-DOWN system akin to that of Ancient Monarchies brought to the fullest extent one could make it, with the government's power and authority bringing about a homogeneity of form and culture that their people emulate. Elves, through their adherence, are most likely to have a single city that constantly branches and builds out rather than having multiple cities and towns scattered about the world however the occasional small
settlement can be found scattered throughout Aldenor."
- Artemis, Chief Scholar of Gorinde.

Dwarves:

Another race native to Aldenor, the Dwarves live mostly internally-racial lifestyles; their complex system of a caste society allows for very little need of outside interactions. The two capitals that once reigned as two separate nations fought for years between one another, it took almost 200 years before an agreement was formed and the two conjoined to form the Empire of Stone that stood as a true testament of Dwarven strength and ingenuity; so much so that the elves sought out their help to fight off the humans during the Veiled Shore War. Their reign would not last due to the heavy casualties that were slaughtered when a large bulk of their armies were caught in a major attack at the Battle for Kar'Tunta.

"
DWARVES - THE REBELLION - The Dwarves have been those that have seen the atrocities committed by the Elves, as well as the other races of Iltharia and, having been a Vassal State of Ilensari for centuries, do NOT want something like that happening again. Through this, Dwarves in Aldenor are those that are trying to refute the old ways of Imperialism and bending the world to its whim similar to their might during the Golden Age of Bhararr. Due to this thought process, Dwarves are very much a "live and let live" sort of group, trying to do what is most beneficial for the individual and their family, not the sovereign of their lands. Instead their tactics lean with them fighting against any sort of imperialistic tendencies if it closes onto their borders. One can see this sort of "tensing-up" as they feel they must be prepared for a war at any time.
Their system is a BOTTOM-UP system, where the individual has much more power and the State cannot impose themselves upon individuals and their local areas. This is much more easily shown with their major system of government being unable to judicially decide anything that isn't an intra-national conflict. This then leads to a dynamic where the local government is both their representative to the council and the basis for law, creating wildly different customs, locales, and laws in place that vary from each area. To many, Dwarves would be the race that has the most freedom to create towns and areas anywhere during times of peace but would try to focus on specialized regions that would be best to defend and serve them against the Empires that wish to claim, or even possibly enslave them once more." - Artemis, Chief Scholar of Gorinde

Humans:

Humans have always been an curious and expeditious race. Hailing from far away lands elsewhere on Iltharia; a continent that houses the massive Tlaari Empire. Despite this the humans had little to no strength upon first discovering Aldenor. They lived peacefully for almost thirty years before the High Elves caught wind of their presence in their homeland. Ready to defend their homes from the ever-expanding territorial land-grab, the elves made a preemptive offensive and thus began the Veiled Shore War. The humans however soon made up for their losses when the Orcs suddenly invaded Aldenor, instead now aiding their old rivals during the Great War.

"HUMANS - THE NEW EMPIRE - The age of Elves and Dwarves is over; Humans are the newcomers to the Continent of Aldenor and with them comes both a new sense of change if they become the dominant power. Yes, they are new in this are, but they are still settlers of a far-off Empire that looks to conquer and subjugate all of Iltharia. While still a TOP-DOWN system--akin to the Elves--they are more flexible culturally with their local customs and traditions varying from city to city and the King being a source of unification among its peoples through customs, laws, and military. This was transitioned well into the humans of Drosarth...not really other cultures that much, with something akin to the Urban/Rural divide where we they see each other with scorn and disdain due to one's lifestyle practices. Humans want to expand hardcore to just about everywhere they can, claiming as much territory for themselves, their family, and their sovereign to show the world how great they are."
- Artemis, Chief Scholar of Gorinde

Orcs:

The Orcs appeared suddenly and viciously roughly twenty-five years ago. Not much is known about them other than their severely aggressive nature and seemingly endless hatred for the other races...no one has lived to return for those who have been captured. They attack without warning and at random, pillaging everything in their wake and showing no end to their seemingly meaningless wrath. Their first contact occurred when they attacked the Dwarven and Human armies at the Battle for Kar'Tunta. Since then the majority of the masses of Orcs remain hostile towards other races. Only a few individuals have actually shown some lenience to their sheer aggressiveness to the other races and have helped scholars understand them.
