DreamCraft: Custom Survival, RPG Skills, Anti-Grief, Economy, and More
At its core, DreamCraft is survival Minecraft, but with a large collection of gameplay systems, quality-of-life improvments, custom mechanics, and staff-made plugins that make the experience feel deeper, more rewarding, and more unique than a standard survival server. Many of our plugins are custom-built for DreamCraft and cannot be found anywhere else.
What Makes DreamCraft Different?
DreamCraft is designed around long-term survival progression. Whether you like building, farming, exploring, trading, collecting rare items, leveling skills, running a town, or just relaxing with friends, there is always something useful to work toward.
Players enjoy DreamCraft because it keeps the familiar feel of survival Minecraft while adding meaningful reasons to keep playing. Your farms generate value. Your skills improve over time. Your settlement can unlock powerful perks. Your resources feed into a real item-based economy. Your builds are protected. Your progress matters.
Long-Term World Stability
DreamCraft’s main world is not a disposable short-term reset world. The current world is planned to last for a long time, giving players the confidence to invest in large builds, cities, shops, farms, infrastructure, and community projects.
For resource gathering, DreamCraft also has the Wildlands, a separate world designed for exploration and mining. The Wildlands resets monthly, keeping the main world cleaner while still giving players regular access to fresh terrain, structures, and resources.
Land Claims and Protected Builds
DreamCraft uses Residence for land protection. Players can claim and protect homes, towns, farms, shops, storage areas, and major builds from unwanted building, breaking, and griefing.
We also use Bolt for container protection. Chests and other containers can be locked, shared with specific players, protected with passwords, opened to groups, or configured for public, deposit, display, and withdrawal access.
This gives players strong control over their builds and storage while still allowing cooperation, town projects, markets, and shared bases.
RPG-Style Skill Trees with ValhallaMMO
DreamCraft uses ValhallaMMO, a full RPG-style skill and progression system. Almost everything you do can help level a related skill, including mining, farming, combat, gathering, enchanting, brewing, smithing, and more.
As you level up, you unlock perks that improve how you play. These can include better drops, faster gathering, stronger equipment, improved potion brewing, better enchantments, combat abilities, armor bonuses, instant crop harvesting, field harvesting, vein mining, tree cutting, and so many other quality-of-life abilities.
ValhallaMMO also makes normal Minecraft progression feel deeper and more skill-based. You may feel weaker at the beginning than in vanilla Minecraft, but by the end, your character can become far more powerful than a vanilla survival player.
Cities Progression System
The classic DreamCraft cities system adds a progression system to building a base. City progression can unlock powerful perks such as mob spawning control, keep inventory, healing, flight, and even an end portal, just to name a few. These perks give builders and communities a clear reason to grow, improve, and develop their bases instead of just building for looks or utility alone.
A Physical XP Bottle Economy
DreamCraft does not rely on a generic virtual money balance. Instead, the server economy is based around XP Bottles as a physical currency.
Through XP Farming, players can convert farmable items, food, mob drops, fish, plants, and rare materials into XP Bottles. This means common survival activities like farming, fishing, grinding mobs, and gathering resources all feed directly into the economy.
Through DreamEconomy, players can spend XP bottles on useful and fun features, including:
Custom Gameplay Mechanics
DreamCraft includes several custom mechanics and quality-of-life changes that make survival smoother and more enjoyable:
Armored Elytra: Combine an elytra with a chestplate in an anvil to create an elytra with armor values, enchantments, and the chestplate’s name.
Stackable Potions: Bottles of all types stack up to 64, making potion storage and travel much less annoying.
Stackable Enchanted Books: Enchanted books with matching enchantments stack up to 64, making enchanting storage far easier to manage.
Copy Sherds: Duplicate pottery sherds using a sherd and terracotta.
BetterPhantoms: Phantoms do not spawn in the Overworld. Instead, they occasionally spawn in the End.
Mending Books: Because ValhallaMMO changes villager trading, mending is harder to get normally. To balance this, mending books can appear in world loot, DreamCrates, and as rare drops from evokers, elder guardians, and witches.
Celeste adds celestial ambiance and rare sky events, including shooting stars, falling stars, and meteor showers. Rare falling stars can even drop diamonds.
Scuba Gear makes ocean exploration more enjoyable by allowing properly equipped players to swim faster and breathe underwater indefinitely.
Winery lets players build vineyards and create wines that provide potion effects based on the biome where they are created.
Brewery allows players to brew beer, create their own beer brands, and receive potion effects from custom drinks.
Player Choice and PvP Control
DreamCraft is not a forced PvP survival server. With PvPToggle, players can control whether they participate in PvP using /pvp.
This makes the server more flexible for different playstyles. Builders, grinders, farmers, explorers, and casual players can enjoy the world without being forced into combat, while players who want PvP still have the option.
Online Interactive Map
DreamCraft has a live online map where players can view the world from their browser. This makes it easier to explore, plan builds, find locations, and see how the world is developing.
