This evening Aya & me visited Empathy and well, you know what I enjoy about this server? It's honest.
Now, sure, this server is not like the polished high end servers you may be used to (looking at you random reader!) and if you're not fully familiar with the way things work then... well... this could even become a challenge. But you the thing about challenges? They give you this awesome feeling once you overcome them!
What's so challenging you ask? Well, this for example:
Notice my low health and little food as well as my empty hotbar? That's a challenge for you ;) One which we overcame!
There are newbie kits, but if you don't look around you may miss them (but there's always the /kit command!) and then it really helps if you have some basic Minecraft experience to back you up :)
Empathy is a Minecraft server with a twist, and a really fun one. For example, you can get a small reward once you walked 1000 blocks, or once you killed your first monster or once you planted your first crops or ate you first snack. All fun additions which makes playing a bit more appealing, especially at first.
Also important is the dedicated & friendly playerbase. "Build each other up" isn't a wild catchphrase ya know ;)
All in all we (Aya & me) had a great time this evening (as always actually) and even though the spawn area is still being worked on (but just look at that screenshot above!) this is really awesome!
Make sure your version is 1.12.2. In your launcher go to launch options and click on add new, then add a profile with whatever name you want and select 1.12.2 (ignore the forge in mine, that's for a mod i'm running).
Then when you restart your launcher make sure you select that profile to play with.
Hope to see you on soon!

It's well known that it's easier to pick up on things whilst playing a game, so to then try and combine Minecraft with a bit of an education approach... Very nicely done. I'm definitely keeping an eye out for further developments :)

P.S: I don't know how to change this Steve avatar! Please help!

For the reason stated as "Unfortanately I have found many loopholes, so I am not sure of consense"
Meaning the following; Many loopholes and people could get around your lack of structured server. Therefor I do not agree, but your response is immature and uncalled for. But hey, what do I expect from a new server anyway.
If you're not sure about something, agree respectfully to /rules then nicely ask. I find people who come on and immediately criticize, don't get what "be respectful" means, or need a long list to include their particular "lapse" in judgment are usually not the kind of folks who are conscientious and will ask before they risk it anyway. So, I'm sorry you don't know what be respectful is, and I'm sorry you couldn't just agree to /rules and then ask nicely about anything you were still unsure about. But you could have agreed then made suggestions on the forum, you could have asked other players.
You lead with unfortunately and that's what happened. In the future if you want to stay on a server and give it a chance, agree to /rules, then respectfully and kindly ask questions and make suggestions. That's if you want to be respectful.
There are not many negatives when it comes to this server, up 100% up-time except for about 5 minutes when there's low traffic to reset the server. The staff is friendly and I have never had any bad experiences from the staff. The staff is eager to help with your problems and posting on the forums is a good way to help the server out if you ever encounter any problems whether they are a bug in one of the plug ins or a player is being rude and breaking the rules.

Should you try out this server; YES
And it's not extremely PG, I don't ban for the occasional word and you can talk about anything as long as you're respectful. I spell it out in more detail here. Gruntex7 I suggest you particularly refer to number 2: http://www.planetminecraft.com/blog/a-guide-to-newbie-etiquette/
