Fawkes Landing was created in the early months of 2016 as a purely survival, non-PVP, family friendly 1.9 server, including the ability to protect your builds, choose a pet, marry other players and upgrade skills with McMMO.

Through experimentation with plugins, intending to make survival a little tougher and more interesting, I added a second option, an "Apocalyptic gamemode", where players would be able to immerse themselves in a dying world and test themselves in a progressive, brutal Minecraft environment.
