Once there was a world called Nazzerlith, whose people lived in peace and whose natural bounty was plenty. Everyone spoke the same language and celebrated in the same culture. Societies were stable and liberty was secure. The world was beautiful, for it had never been tainted with the corruption of war. Underneath this purity lingered a dark force however, one that was awaken by a now forgotten Emperor, who decided that this world of theirs was not enough for them.
Waves upon waves of monstrous hordes soon swarmed this once pristine dream-scape turning it into a nightmarish nether-scape.
Iron thrones, megalomania, and an efficient empire replaced the prior peace for a century, until the Emperor suddenly vanished along with their evil army.

Silence was all that was left. The empire no more, settlements that were once oppressed were freed to act as they saw fit. Yet the buildings were not the only remnants of the cruel befallen nation; with no ordered system in place, and a people who had become used to tyrannical top-down maniac, a power vacuum immediately ensued. Factions separated and divvied up the remaining vestiges of all old order. New ideologies formed, affecting how each new group spread and operated.

A new era has dawned, a time for exploring frontiers; a time to obtain wealth beyond one's wildest imagination; a time for founding new empires. Welcome to the Guilded Age.


A Unique Faction Belief System

Each faction has the ability to declare itself as an adherent to one of 7 distinct ideological systems. These "belief systems" provide an instantly built 63x63 faction base according to the belief system that the faction selects. Each base has a general theme as well as a few bonuses that are relevant to the belief system. After certain requirements have been met, all a faction has to do is declare it's ideology to a mod and - presto! - its faction headquarters will get a major upgrade.


A Player Run Economy

Thanks to the use of plugins, players can now set up and run their own shops! Players can trade real in game items with one another, and control prices for those items as they see fit! There is also no intangible in-game currency; although the default money seems to be gold and emeralds, players can trade whatever items they want for whatever prices they choose.


Reputation System

Yep, that's right! Reputation allows for players to make a name for their selves by setting them in a balanced fight between the good and bad. Every action has a consequence, and every time the player kills or feeds something, they gain or lose reputation for it. Good players will be awarded with the titles "Samaritan" or "Law-Bringer," where they receive combat bonuses against bad players and monsters (i.e. Creepers). Bad players, on the other hand, are labeled the nefarious titles such as "Thug" or "Outlaw," where they are especially good at killing NPC's and good players.


And much, much more!

Although there is already so much that this server has to offer, there will be much more to come in the near future. Long interactive quest lines, trainable and hire-able NPC body guards, and a fully fleshed magic system are some features that shall come, to name a few. So stay tuned, and be prepared to make a name for yourself in the Guilded Age!
