Hydra Epidemic is simply the best and most advanced zombie survival server in the whole wide web. It's got unique features all for the best gameplay experience a player could have.

Features:

1. Infections vs Humans
Everyone starts as a human. After 60 seconds, one of the humans (randomly selected) will become an infection. The said infection now needs to infect all other players. The other players need to gather as many resources from the map as possible and get their weapons ready. After 10 minutes of gameplay, and in case both teams are still alive, a 5 minute countdown will start. At the end of this countdown every living entity will die. Once the countdown has reached 1 minute, the panic room opens where you are safe from the biochemical weapons.

2. Squads & Zombies
Both teams have the opportunity to gain help from mobs. The humans can call for a squad every 2 minutes, which is a group of NPCs who spawn somewhere (randomly) on the map and bring supplies. Depending on how many humans are still alive there will arrive 2 NPCs per human. If a human right-clicks the squad member, the human will get their supplies. If a squad member is killed, a full-iron set will drop. Infections can summon and control zombies. They can tell to attack a specific player, defend the infection and they can also summon all of their alive zombies to one place. Zombies will also attack squad members and (at 1.4) will equip their iron and get stronger.

3. Maps
Every match will start on a prebuilt map. The map is chosen by votes. You can always see on what map you are and who built it by typing /map ingame. Every map hase other properties.

4. Limited block breaking
Humans can not break or place any blocks, but can pick up and use items, craft and use redstone circuits. Infections can't do anything of these, but can break Endstone, Iron blocks, Iron doors, Glass, Torches and Glowstone.

5. Killing
Once you die, you get kicked from the server and you must wait for the round to finish. The only exception is if you are a human and you die directly from an infection's attack. In this case you will become an infection yourself.

Is the server full or another game in progress?
No problem! You can spend time waiting for the server to unlock on our main hardcore PvP serverplay.hydra-minecraft.net, a message will be broadcasted once you can join again.
