Since Minecraft auto-updated to 1.9.7. for me, I haven't been able to connect. Help?

When you first start up minecraft don't click "Play".
Click "Edit Profile" instead.
Then under "Use Version" select "Minecraft 1.7.5" and click "Save Profile".
Then click "Play" and you should be able to connect to the server.
