What is MadCraft?
MadCraft is the spiritual resurrection of an old server, Heroes of the Storms (linked here)
We are a continuation of that community, and the people that made it what it was.
Our community has been playing Minecraft since around 1.5. Weve been dedicated to all aspects of Minecraft ranging from PVP to building to redstone. This experience and dedication create a server of unmatched passion for our work.
Most of our players are adults, with adult responsibilities, and expect people on MadCraft to also act like adults.
What are the core features?
Minecraft is a game about freedom, being so I wanted to keep it as true to original Minecraft as I could without also keeping it vanilla. The result of that labor is a server built around non-constraining features that add fun things to do without forcing players into linear stories or events.
We have a number of core features for the players to experience as they want.
MadCraft is a difficult server. Mobs are hard, starting equipment is limited, PvP is enabled.

- Functional towns that require actual buildings and population to grow and unlock new technology.
- Mines and lumberyards for automated/infinite wood/ore/stone production
- Factories for automatic crafting
- War camps and siege weapons
- Warehouses that use minecarts to link together different buildings

- An entirely player focused and driven economy.
- Player shops, able to be built anywhere with just a sign and chest
- Rentable regions in spawn to safely reach maximum customers
- Minimum admin shops to promote player business and trading
- Trading systems for Runescape-like barters
- Banks, and interest on bank balance for active playtime

MadCraft Server Rules
-----General-----
- Advertising other Minecraft servers, websites, or Discords is not allowed.
- Threatening of DOX or DDOS attacks are grounds for immediate banning.
- Cracked Minecraft accounts will be banned.
- Begging staff for something is not allowed.
-----Discord-----
- Keep discord orderly, put topics where they belong.
- Spamming will result in a discord mute.
-----Server-----
- Teleport trapping players is not allowed.
- Redstone machines designed to slow down or lag the server are not allowed.
- Any player-built mob grinders must have the ability to disable the grinder through redstone. (like a redstone lamp over the spawner)
- Raiding IS allowed.
- Do NOT grief the overworld, nether, or end. This includes quarry or strip mining, floating trees and 1x1 towers. Resourceworld is exempt from this rule.
-----Mods-----
- Minimap and world map mods are allowed. Turn off player radar.
- Minecraft Status HUD/Inventory/Status/Ect Displays are encouraged. (I use InventoryHud and Xaeros)

Sorry for the long period of time between updates, I was on a vacation, then immediately had to do some catch-up at work.
However, here soon the server is being relaunched for 1.20 and will be live! it will remain whitelisted for a bit for myself and my staff to make sure everything is working as expected before a full launch.
