Are you tired of hunting for a no-bullshit server that doesn't reward the immature children who buy overpowered equipment with their parents' money? Frustrated with hub servers that bite off more than they can chew and end up offering several bad ways to play instead of one good way to play?

Melon Sword is a new adult-owned server that runs Factions and strives to bring a completely fair and balanced experience for all players. This server is geared toward mature veteran players. No filthy casuals here! Nothing is gifted to anyone. There is nothing useful for PvP at Spawn, like enchantment tables and enderchests. If you want it, you must find it, make it, or take it from someone. We will never have pay-to-win elements in any form and you, the players, will be consulted before major changes are made to the server.



The only plugins affecting gameplay (other than Factions) are:

• SilkSpawners - break a spawner with a silk touch pickaxe and you can pick it up and set it down like any other block
  
• QuickShop - players will dictate the economy of the server by creating their own shops
  
• TreeAssist - break the bottom block on a tree and the whole tree will be broken into its blocks, including saplings and apples
  
• CreeperHeal - damage from explosions will heal after 10 minutes, and obsidian has a 1 in 5 chance of being destroyed by TNT
  
• OldCombatMechanics - this reverts combat back to how it was before the 1.9 Combat Update. Also adds golden enchanted apples back!
  

Elements of the Server:

• Wishing Well - Players can write suggestions and cast votes in books to affect changes made to the server
  
• Treasure Room - The entire server works together to gather enough items to unlock rewards for everyone, with better and better rewards
  
• PvP - Raiding and griefing are allowed. Encouraged, even!
  
• Economy - Players are able to rent stalls at Spawn and create shops to sell goods to other players
  
• No Teleports - Players can only use /f home to teleport to their Faction, making every journey to Spawn perilous and tactical, so that players don't turtle up in their impenetrable bases
  

The Nine Basic Rules:

1. Do not use hacked clients.
   
2. Do not use any method to see through blocks.
   
3. Do not abuse glitches.
   
4. Do not duplicate items.
   
5. Griefing, stealing, raiding, lying, and all manner of villainy and deception are allowed.
   
6. Do not advertise.
   
7. Do not ask to be staff.
   
8. The only items allowed to be thrown in the Wishing Well are written books.
   
9. Do not use the shops at Spawn for personal storage.
   

As the owner, I encourage discussion and a democratic process for tailoring the server to its players. I have a system in place for players to offer suggestions and cast votes on decisions that will affect the server.
