MineWars Civilization
There comes a point in every creature’s existence where they are forced to make a life-altering decision:
To stay and fight for what’s yours,
Or to run and live another day.
Minewars Civilization is a towny based server that embodies this decision, allowing you to build cities, cultures, and nations. Yet, while it focuses on building cities and peace, like normal towny servers; it also thrives on the waging of war with others, allowing you to crush your foes and force your dominion.
Here, what you dream to create is what you may enforce, as long as you’re willing to fight and make the sacrifice for it.
Will you be one people fear, or the one people love?
Will you stand the test of time, or will you fall like sand in the hourglass?

While many towny servers out there may focus on wars, we seek to create a thriving community amongst these battles, to give them a reason to exist. This server is a story to be told. Are you the hero, fighting against a tyrant? Or are you the antagonist, trying to keep others weak and keep your rule?
By implementing this, we breathe life into the server. There is no end game, there is always something to be fighting for. There is a reason to grow, to become stronger. The lonely will band, the good will be corrupted, the powerful will fall, and new powers will rise in their place.
Rules
Our rules are simple, just use common sense.
-We allow client mods such as minimap, WAILA, and Utilities, but game-breaking modifications such as X-Ray, Scenter, and hacked clients are not allowed. We want fair play, but not barren play.
-Unless you are at war with someone, don’t grief. Even then, be slightly respectful, know where to draw the line. Do not pester someone in such a way that they can’t get back on their feet. We want this server to be a story and that won’t happen if people don’t get the chance to stand up.
-Listen to the Staff. The word of Mods, Admins, and Owners are law. If they say something is against the rules, then it its.If you deem a rule to be unjust, talk with a Head Admin or use the contact form on the website. (Croft3rlp, the server owner, is an odd exception. He seeks to create laws on the server for his nation’s sake, but you don’t have to follow these unless you want to fall in line with his nation's rulings. If you’re doing something wrong in regards to the server, he will approach you about it personally.)
-Other rules will be given to you in-game, but this is the basis of which we stand. Please follow these if you seek to create a lasting relationship with this server. Also, please make sure you read the rules in game. You will be given a code in game that will allow you to spawn. This code is in the rules. You will then right click a sign with the code on it.

Let me just start this out by saying you don't see many servers like this. I was pretty excited when I saw this post. The look and feel of it just said to me that this was going to be a great server. Man how I was wrong. I'm just going to sum up my time here:
Join server, no one on. Get some gear going and log off.
Day or two later see people on the dynmap. PvP enabled in their towns.
Boat over to one, kill. Get good gear (p4, good sword, good bow, little under a stack of diamonds, etc).
Notice on the dynmap the other player Jaroolz (apparently a "builder") is now following me around in spectator mode.
Another player gets on, "head admin" (but there's about 3 "head admins"). Admin uses his admin powers to kill me. Says that the stuff I just got isn't mine. No communication beforehand. No communication after. Just follows me around in spectator with Jaroolz after that.
Come back over with some new gear. Jaroolz gets out of spectator a few times, tries to kill me. Decide to get out of there.
Another head admin gets on. Follows me around with the growing crowd. Tells me that PvP was enabled in that person's town because of a glitch with the server. At this point I'm still pretty put off, but I decide to give the server another chance.
Tired of combat, I decide to move my stuff somewhere safe and make a town. I noticed an unclaimed underwater dome that looked very nice, so I pack up my stuff and head over. I claim my town and then I'm teleported away by one of the admins.
He tells me that the structure I had just claimed was an unfinished server project. I ask him why it wasn't protected, and he says that the person who made it didn't know how. Another example of the unprofessional and incompetent staff on this server.
At this point I notice that the person I had killed earlier was right next to where the admin had teleported me. I decide to go in for the kill. I get the kill. Other admin gets out of spectator mode and admin-kills me again (same one from earlier). Note that at this point I had lost all of my possessions as I had planned on putting them down in my new town that I had tried to claim.
It's soon revealed that everyone is stuck in a small area; the world border has been shrunk to the size of about a chunk. Someone messed up with some command (probably trying to protect the structure I had planned on making my town). I'm pretty fed up with the server by now, and I tell the admin to give me my stuff back. He refuses. Throughout this time stuck in this area Jaroolz is very rude to me. Another "head admin" gets on and he is also very rude for no reason (wardrumsjr).
The issue is apparently fixed, yet my items have not been returned. At this point, I'm done, and I log off.
No skill or experience with any of these staff members. I can't imagine the owner being any better if he has given power to this sort of people.
There's not a chance of any fair play in a towny war setting with this level of staff. If you are looking for a decent towny war server, look elsewhere.
