New Canada was founded in September of 2010. The server suffered a number of months of downtime in 2011, before changing hands to the current owners and being re-hosted in November of 2011. Reborn as New New Canada, the server and the original world have been hosted consistently since its much anticipated return.
The original world file, initially generated in Alpha, was trimmed shortly after changing hands. This was to cut down on the size of the world file and make it easier for new players to find clear land to build on with new MC features. A large swathe of Alpha generated chunks still exist. As the years have passed and the MC versions have changed, more and more new and exciting lands have been discovered. There have been a handful of world trims throughout the years, but care is always taken to preserve the rich history in building techniques and MC world generation. Much like the rings of a tree, the New New Canada world tells a rich history about the game, the world, and the players who called NNC their home over the past 15 years.
While New New Canada is the primary world of its namesake server, other worlds exist that can be freely accessed. These worlds provided quick and easy access to new Minecraft features and biomes after major version updates.

In order to find our newer worlds, just find the portal station outside of spawn! There is also a portal that can take you to the far Eastern fringe of New New Canada, where fresh land awaits!
Note: A fresh world has not yet been created for 1.21.4. If there is demand we can create that, but at this time, new land can be generated on old worlds.
