Nova PvP is a sort of Hardcore Factions practice server, made by HCF players, so there are several things that we have tried to do different, from experience.


A quick note-


As of right now, the main FFA map is still in progress, so the server may be somewhat plain, but if you are seeing this, then I have most likely released the server in Beta, and you are welcome to play. Also, sorry for the banner, it was thrown together for the Beta release, we will have a much better looking banner soon.


Duels should be setup and working, and as of right now there is only 1 arena, we are working on adding more soon.


Introduction


You start out in spawn, warp to "kit" with the sign behind you, and create a kit. Once you click the signs to save the kit, you can go back to spawn and use the "Load" signs whenever you go out to pvp. I'm sure this is all familiar.


'Unique' Features


Some features (or lack of) are a part of the server based on my personal experience and opinion playing HCF and Kitpvp. There is no "anti-cheat" plugin that causes lag and bad hit-detection, but we have plenty of hack detection measures. I tried to host the server in the fairest location ping-wise (Chicago) although there is no real way to prevent ping advantage. I tried to make the sever non pay to win while still giving donators an advantage, and they only have an advantage in FFA, not duels.


Donators


Donators have access to the other set of chests, and do have slightly better items, but the server is (hopefully) far from pay to win. When you kill a donator, you can use their items, but you cannot save them in your kit. You can see the full list of donator perks here[1] .


KoTH


Right now, KoTH is disabled (it might be fixed soon, it might not) due to massive server lag when a KoTH is active. Some info: when you win KoTH, your team will be given a reward, which will be given to either the player who capped, or the team leader, to be split between the team as a whole. We aren't exactly sure what the rewards will be, but something along the lines of sharpness 4 sword(s) or haste 1 potion(s). Let us know what you think.


Teams


Anyone can create a team, using /team create [name], and invite players. It is basically factions without the land claiming.
