A brief description: Shadow Skies is a medieval skyblock server. Players get a choice between easy, medium, and hard islands (hard being a typical skyblock island). Play with your friends by creating an island together or by trading with each other.
What makes Shadow Skies Medieval: Shadow Skies is considered a medieval skyblock server for a couple of reasons. The first reason being that spawn and other non-skyblock areas are built to resemble medieval times. Also, donation ranks are themed on a medieval social pyramid. Ranks have commands, biomes, and pets perks that are fitting with their name. For example, the Knight rank enables players to use the command /feed and they get the pet horse. Important notice: the medieval theme does not directly impact the skyblock aspect of the server. We hope that you enjoy the medieval theme that makes Shadow Skies unique.
Island Difficulty: As mentioned before, players get a choice when creating their island which difficulty they would like to start at. This only changes the island a player begins with; in the long run this doesn’t mean very much. An easy island is for players who like skyblock, but hate starting off. The easy island gives you a head start by giving you a small home, an infinite water source, a generic cobblestone generator, and planted crops/ tree. A medium island is for average players that still like a challenge. It starts players off with a smaller island that has a generic cobblestone generator. A hard island is most similar to a typical skyblock island. This starts players off with the smallest island available and a chest with the necessary items to begin. Once you create an island, you are able to add others to your island to help you. If you want them to be able to help on your island, but not be limited to just your island, players can trust others on their island. Important notice: by trusting or adding players to your island, this opens the opportunity for players to grief your island. Although this is against the rules and will be punished (if evidence is provided), there is nothing the staff can do to protect you from this if a player is added/ trusted on your island. A player can, however be removed/ untrusted if you choose to do so.
Rules: Most servers need rules in order to keep it safe for all players. We hope you understand that this is for the best. Contact us if you have questions or need clarification about the server rules. It is needed that all players follow the rules in order to enhance everyone’s server experience. These rules are listed at spawn for all to see as well as listed with /rules. The rules are as follows:
Donation/ Ranks: Important notice: it is free for all players to play on Shadow Skies. Although, players who donate for ranks get donation perks. The reason for donating is because the server does take money to keep running. Also, other staff members put much appreciated work into the server in order to get it where it is today. Donating benefits both players and staff involved in the server. Donating players get ranks that enhance the server experience. More information about specific rank perks can be found both at spawn and on our donation page.
Staff: The staff for Shadow Skies are always willing to help players when available. If staff are unavailable, we encourage you to contact us either by using the shout box (on the right side of this web page) or if you have friended a staff member on skype or enjin you can message them there. We will do our best to get to you immediately. If you are at all interested in becoming a staff member, applications are the right-most tab above on the website.

- Please do not grief
- Please do not spam
- Please do not advertise
- Please do not swear
- Please do not ask staff for ranks/items/money
- No mods/hacks (optifine is okay)
- Please do not flood chat with caps
- Please do not use hateful speech
- Never post other’s personal information
- Please do not pretend to be others or staff
- Please do not bypass any mutes or bans
