This server world, Arda's Second Age, has been discontinued on June 27th 2017.
We are preparing for a new Era,
going further back in time for a new immersive roleplay experience
on Arda, in the First Age,
the age of the accounts of The Silmarillion!
Announcements will be made on our Facebook page and through the submission of a new server page.
The Second Age Server is a LOTRmod Forge modded server, made for people who wish to experience roleplay in Tolkiens legendary realms, during the Second Age. The timeline for this server starts after the forging of the Rings of Power, when Annatar was revealed to be Sauron, in SA 1600. Númenor and the High Elven kingdom of Eregion still exist but tension rises as the ultimate servant of Morgoth amasses his armies behind the dark mountain ranges of Mordor.
In order to ensure the best Second Age experience, we have modified the amazing multi-featured official Lord of the Rings mod to create a Second Age sub-mod. The special server mod has customized textures, text files and a dedicated map to match Middle-earth during the Second Age. The server mod is distributed via our LOTRmod wikia page:

That page also provides info on the map, our Discord channel, the various rules and many other aspects and features. For anyone not familiar with the LOTRmod, do visit the home page of the LOTRminecraftmod.wikia and don't start your adventure without a visit to the Middle-earth gameplay guide.

We are a server open to everyone, but we encourage immersion in roleplay in agreement with Tolkien's fascinating and immensely inspiring lore. Players can play as both lore and custom characters. Any lore character or characters in a position of faction rulership requires an application at "obsolete for The Second Age Server".
Roleplay is not very strict, but it is key to the servers gameplay and therefore expected! The more intense and convincing you roleplay, the more staff will like you, and exemplary immersive roleplay may eventually trigger nice (lore-based) gifts.
Our special version of the LotRmod will update along with the original version.
We are more than open to hear your questions, and we hope to see you on the server soon enough!
