The Superflat Experiment is a full vanilla Superflat survival server with no rules or resets. Starting on March 11, 2022, thousands of players joined and shaped the landscape around them by building, griefing, and constructing monuments.



Even though there are no in-game rules, the server has a small tight-knit community, and griefing, even close to spawn, is rare.



Structures are enabled on the server, and currently, Villages, Strongholds, Pillager Outposts, Ruined Portals, Mineshafts, and Trial Chambers generate naturally.



There have been many eras on the server, and as the server admin, I intend to keep the server online as long as anyone is interested in playing.

would you consider reset superflat, vanilla, with overworld preset. Hopefully the trial chambers would be there, pvp off or toggle no grief?

A lot has changed since the last comment! there is a thorough guide on superflat survival and it seems to be simple to pick up. Nether portals are easy to find if not build. I've been playing for a few days and think this is even more entertaining than regular survival. It's a 24/7 server with awesome people on it and an owner that stays true to vanilla and anarchy.

Interesting concept, had a quick play on the server

One thing though, aquiring Diamonds/Obsidian seems really difficult if not impossible.... Therefore heading to the nether & the end is not just difficult but almost impossible... might need to add a few layers to actually contain ores...

The excessive amount of slimes is also a turn-off

Thanks for checking out the server, however you are wrong when it comes to game progression. Blacksmith chests contain both diamonds and obsidian, as do ruined portals, so getting to the nether and end is easily possible and many have done it, however most people just use the busted villager trades introduced in 1.14 for their diamond gear. Currently in 1.18.2, these are the only blocks, items, and mobs that you cant obtain in Superflat.
