Our Resource Pack

Please use our resource pack for maximum experience. We use certain textures like keys and coral, and we built the server with this texture pack in mind.

war_zpscpng
The kingdom of Roftia has laid siege to the quaint land of Trillivia, your homeland. They plan to destroy the Trillivian uprising by burning their cities to the ground. You charter a ship to Roftia to escape the destruction of your homeland, leaving behind your previous life. Starting as a lowly refugee, you must work your way up to the top. In Roftia, anything is possible.

changing_zpsapng
The World of Roftia is a new Role-Play server designed to be constantly changing. We have events every few weeks in which players will have to work together in mass, be it in a battle between the armies of Trilivia and Roftia, or simply an evil wizard who needs to be crushed. These events (along with other things) will determine the structure of the server. Which cities belong to who, if the factions are in a state of war and so on.

housing_zpsffdedpng
Here in Roftia, we have a housing tier system: Posted Image for the cheapest housing. These cost around 2,500 zegars and come unfurnished.
Next we have Posted Image for medium tier housing. These houses come with basic furnishings and are a little bigger than iron houses they cost around 5,000 zegars.
We also have Posted Image houses. These houses are the most expensive. Also by far the biggest. They come with a crafting table and furnace, an enchanting table and are fully furnished. These houses are anywhere up from roughly 10,000.
Moderators receive emerald houses, which are for sale to regular players, however at a massive cost.

quest_zpsadcbpng
For the more adventurous players, there are three main activities: Quests,Group Dungeons and Player vs Player
Our quests are run in two ways: Plugin based, and redstone based.
The plugin based quests are majorly gather/kill quests, with the player speaking with an NPC and then completing the quest. The redstone based quests are more like dungeons, with puzzles traps and more, with a much wider range of rewards. Our group dungeons are like raids, a group of players varying in size takes on a dungeon full of monsters and traps to receive a group reward at the end. Finally player vs player. This is fairly straightforward however there are some special aspects. There are multiple constant pvp free-for-all areas around the map, as well as events in which sometimes there will be pvp. Also as a result of some events, there may be an outbreak of war, at which point, anywhere outside of a city is faction pvp.

Epoch 1: Times of Piece

In the beginning, there were three nations: The Athel Covenant of the elves, the Vorumi Dynasty of the dwarves, and the great trade kingdom of Karn, which encompassed all of humanity in Roftia. All in Roftia lived peaceably for the most part.
Karno s dominion dwelled far in the northeast and didno t draw much attention from the other nations, save the regular trade caravano s sent. Karn had no interest in meddling in the petty scraps the elves and dwarves occasionally had over land and the like, The humans hoped only to use their affluent economy to strengthen themselves so that should they need to later, they could quickly raise the means to defend themselves. However no need ever arose until much later, so Karn experienced a virtual golden age for the entirety of the first epoch.
The nations of the elves and dwarves did not have such prosperity. While neither ever formally declared war or ever raised any kind of military force, their respective citizens constantly fought over farming land, or lumber, or other natural resources. The Athel Covenant received the brunt of the damage, as Vorumio s assets lied largely underground. The elves became a very hardy and warlike people; they developed a talent for rebuilding themselves after a fall. This would serve them well in future.
The Vorumi Dynastyo s is an interesting tale. They partook in squabbles equally as much as any elf; however, they suffered almost no casualties. The dwarves took a much more calculated approach to combat. Through the vast technological advantage they had gained over the elves the Vorumi Dynasty became an exceptionally industrious people.

Epoch 2: Escalation of Combat

The small brawls throughout the land would inevitably evolve into full scale combat, the nations would inevitably be forced to take charge of their people, and Karn would inevitably be forced out of ito s neutrality. These factors bring us swiftly into the second epoch.
The true fighting began just east of the mountains of Hailton, which were uninhabited at the time. An elven farmer finds a dwarven supply caravan broken down just off of the main road near his plot. Soon enough the farmer realizes that the caravan is transporting weapons and munitions to an army gathering under the shadow of Mt. Silvermire. He sends word at once to Athel Loren that the dwarves have amassed an army and plan to attack the elven motherland. Athel Loren has little time to prepare a defense; they are completely undefended, as thereo s never been a need for it prior, and the dwarves will be at their gates within the week. They decide that their only hope is in shear numbers. The elves arm every able bodied creature within their dominion to defend the great trees of Athel Loren. Their tactic works and despite their advanced machinery, the dwarves are crushed at the first battle of Athel Loren. The First Roftian War has officially begun.
Karn meanwhile has been flourishing among the imports of both nations, but now they will be forced to take a side as neither the elves nor dwarves will allow Karn to remain neutral. Karn chooses to side with the Vorumi Dynasty simply because the Elven homeland is farther away. But Karn has made a grave mistake: the southeastern lands of Roftia are completely uninhabited and the elves can easily march an army around the Dwarven front and into Karn. Fortunately for the humans, theyo re Czar, Wilhelm I, realizes his mistake and sends a corps of builders to the undefended lands to construct the greatest fortress Roftia has known to date. Eryl Stronghold is constructed within the month with copious funding from the very wealthy nation of Karn. Meanwhile, the Dwarven Front doesno t move much at all, the dwarves favor a guerilla style of confrontation, and never truly go on the offensive, and the elves dono t have the resources to make a push great enough to damage the dwarven lines. The Athel covenant decides to focus its efforts on taking down the Dwarveso supplier, Karn. Eryl Stronghold it put under constant duress from a constant Elven attack. The Humans have never before seen combat and initially get decimated. But Eryl holds, and only a season later is now filled to the brim with hardened veterans. Czar Wilhelm I makes for a terrible strategist and never sends anywhere near enough supplies to Eryl, ito s inhabitants are left with a bitter resentment for their o so calledo homeland. In addition the Dwarves never send any kind of aid to Eryl even though they very easily could if they felt the desire, the dwarves had faired very well thus far.

Epoch 3: The Rise of the Empire

The defenders at Eryl, utterly enraged at all parties involved in this petty war crown their own king, Khindar I, and declare themselves the Great Empire of Roftia. The imperials are all veterans of a constant war and when they decide to leave the walls of their fort, they are unstoppable. Karn and the Athel Covenant fall within the month, and upon the captured land, the imperials build Braeholm and Rothany Hollow to support the war effort. The Dwarves prove to be a much more formidable opponent. Emperor Khindar I calls for a more direct supply line to be built around the dwarveso line. Port haag is constructed to send supplies by sea, and Hailton to do so by air. After nearly a year and a half of conflict, the dwarves finally fall, and the empire is realized. In celebration of their victory, the imperials undertake the greatest construction project of all time. Using the labor of slaves they have gathered from the war, they will flatten off Mt. Silvermire and build a great city in the name of their glorious emperor. It takes three generations to finish the project, but when it is finished, The empire displays mercy. She relinquishes all of her slaves back to their respective homelands, and maintains a state of salutary neglect over her dominions; Karn, Athel, and Vorumi are left largely to their own devices.

Epoch 4: The Brothers Two

For the first time in the history of the royal family, and emperor has two sons. Khindar VI begat Khindar VII and Cerris I, they will prove to be the next noteworthy happening in Roftia. Khindar, the eldest brother, was destined to the throne of Roftia in superiority to Cerris, his younger brother.
Cerris, forced by jealousy, traveled to a distant land, determined to form a kingdom much greater than Roftia had ever been. The kingdom he formed was Trilivia. Their father died soon afterwards and Khindar was left in his place to rule. He managed to create a wealthy community with plentiful stock and a powerful army to back it. He created the perfect place for cities to thrive and businesses to grow, a place where the adventurous were rewarded generously and the battle-shy were left in poverty.
Cerris, on the other hand, formed a beautiful landscape where the community was passionate and humble. They believed in equality and freedom instead of business and riches. Their skill with the sword was fairly poor yet their true power was not in their weaponry, but in their hearts. The progressive expansion of the Trilivian empire was constantly under the watching eye of Khindar, who came to the realization that Cerriso dream of creating a kingdom superior to Roftia was falling into place at a shockingly fast pace. Khindar sent a small army to Trilivia with intentions of not killing the citizens, but instead to rule over them, and dip Roftiao s hand into the coffers of Trillivia. However instructions were given to kill Cerris, in order to prevent any future conflict.
As the Roftian soldiers seized Trilivia and took hold of many citizens, Cerris slipped from sight. He hid within Roftia, his whereabouts unknown while the war raged around him.
