TownyIO is a friendly survival server that sets the bar for server quality standards. TownyIO is hosted on a state-of-the-art Amazon EC2 instance to ensure that the server never expiriences lag. With all these huge networks popping up, we're a rising community that stays true to its roots: pure coorperative survival.
Let's be realistic: hosting a Minecraft server is hard. Hosting a good one is even harder. Strong communities require strong maintenance and big networks & hubs just don't have the resources or manpower to provide that to every one of their servers. TownyIO isn't just another Minecraft server, its a work of art. We commit every day to ensure TownyIO remains the best multiplayer survival experience out there.
TownyIO houses a warm variety of plugins to ensure fun gameplay for all. We use Towny Advance to protect people from griefing, Essentials to provide the basic commands for smp, MythicMobs to spawn in random boss mobs like the Skeleton King in wilderness with epic loot, Shopkeepers to populate our spawn with NPC's that trade tokens for pretty much anything, NoCheatPlus to ensure our server is hack-proof, Jobs to give people a way to earn money, GAListener to reward players for voting, GlobalMarket to create a fun marketplace in spawn where anyone can sell anything and more! TownyIO has a very powerful and stable economy. That's because it's controlled by the players. The server does not set the price of ANY in-game item and instead relies on a powerful and open market to ensure a stable economy. Money enters circulation through voting allowances and server donations and exits the economy through market tax and town upkeep. The population of the spawn city sells virtually anything for Rare Gems, which in turn have their monetary value defined by the playerbase.

I strongly recommend this server to anyone! When I join I was bombarded with welcomes! Everybody is very kind and helpful within the server and the server has a magnificent set up when you first enter! They have their own N.P.C.'s in which you can trade with making it a much more fun experience than just being able to trade with your common Villagers with Emeralds! I hope this comment helped persuade you into join the server, great people await you!
