-A Short Story Written by Billi Smith.-

Roman Academy.
The kings of defense that rule the court.
Literal Gods.
Then you have us.
Pinewood High School,
the literal opposite.
I stood on the serve line, bouncing the hard brightly colored blue and white ball in my hand onto the floor. It was the second match of the Summer Tournament Prelim's and somehow our team managed to make it past the first match with Ace Roll High.
Now were up against volleyball god's.
I heard a whistle blow in my ear as I snapped out my small daze, with a deep breath I lifted the ball up. Tossing the hard blue and white ball far into the air in front of me and ran forwards. I jumped with a grunt as my palm came into contact with the ball and slammed it forwards, nearly out of bound's. The ball headed straight for the back row though before it could the ground, their Libero came out of nowhere. He dived to the ground swiftly and picked up the ball with ease. I quickly moved forward into the back row of our side of the court, watching as the Roman Academy setter set up a spike for their Ace.
Chris Oakley.
He was a beast, literally. The 6'3 boy was dressed in the red and black uniform and had shaggy blonde hair which seemed like it'd block his vision but I could tell while he played, he had no problem with it.
I watched as the setter tossed the ball to their ace, the players up front moved into position for a triple block. They waited exactly till the blonde giant was about to hit the ball and jumped up. Their fingers spread wide and aiming for the ace's dominant hand. The ace seemed to break through the block with ease, the ball blasted through and headed straight for the ground. I quickly ran to it's hitting point and received the ball. It stung, really bad. I shook off the harsh pain and passed the ball over to the setter of our team. His eyes looked over to the back, the blockers up front on the other side of the net moving the way he looked. Though they were instantly fooled as one of our wing spiker's came in suddenly. He was one of our best wing spiker's and the shortest player on the team. He was under at least 5'4 but the boy trained his heart out when it came to jumping and power. He had bright blue hair which was spiked upwards and eyes that matched perfectly. When he jumped, he was over the net. He was soaring as his left hand came in and sharply hit the ball down. There was no time to receive the ball as in within seconds it was down onto the ground before anyone could pick it up. We were now finally at set point. The whole team roared with excitement and my fellow players ran over to hug the blue haired boy. I smiled at the sight, glad that we had gotten ahead finally thank's to him.
But I almost felt left behind.
For an ace player, I never seem like I am one.
THE END
I hope you enjoy the story! I apologize for it being a bit long <3
I know the ending is a bit sad but I might make a part two if anyone's interested. This skin and story are actually also for RystaButAteASock's AWESOME CONTEST! You should go join!
The color palette was extremely hard to work with but I think I did pretty good haha. I chose volleyball to represent the happiness of this skin.
Because volleyball is a sport that makes me extremely happy.
The reason I decided to make a story was just for fun but also because I wanted to shed some sadness on the skin.
The color palette is not the brightest and I wanted to put that into a story with a somewhat sad and frustrating ending for this character.
ANYWAYS! I absolutely loved making this skin and writing this story! Hope you like my entry! <3
