hmm, well for clothing designs, i normally take inspiration from kpop designs, since that's what I'm into X3 But I also kinda take some aspects of my irl clothing, for example, in this skin the leather jacket is one I have irl :) I also like to look at different anime styles too, and even search for things on Pinterest, it's really helpful sometimes! uwu

yeah sure! so really the main thing to remember when shading, is to place the shadows where you would normally see shadows irl! for example, placing the darkest colors on the inside of the arms is a good place to put them, since that's where they would go on a real person. for the lightest colors, i normally use big, block-like highlights for my skins, since it looks more aesthetically pleasing. but remember: i still place the highlights in spots that they would go or i think would go irl! so that's really the basics of it! i would say experiment, practice, and look for references! hope this helps! ♥ if you want something more in depth, feel free to dm me :)
