On cue, the orchestra began to play a lively, ethereal piece. The massive skylights above the throne flooded the room with golden sunlight harkening in the Golden Blossom of Ves. Initially hidden from view by the blinding light of day, she promenaded into view in unison with the music. Trailing behind was an ambrosial waft of bergamot and sage, the earthy and simple yet gourmand sweetness like a balm to the soul.
Gently framed by flowing Venusian curls, mahogany in color, her delicate Illatian features truly gleamed with radiance. The dreamlike gaze of those olive-hued irises bounced initially to the onlookers present; and then affixed upon the dais, where they would remain. Within a moment, the corners of her lips flickered gently upwards.
Her gown was of the old Imperial style, a nod to the 'Illegitimate-Imperial' origins of the Varoche bloodline. And truly, the gown was nothing short of imperial: the bodice and sleeves were constructed from silk of genuine gold which appeared to glow under the lights. The same material was used to embroider the stygian velvet of her voluminous skirts and cape with intricate celestial designs; a sight resembling the muddied night sky and its constellations above the lights of a city. Further alluding to the historical motif was a tyrian-hued tourmaline gemstone emblazoned upon the bodice in lieu of a necklace. Softly fluttered within her grasp was a hand fan coordinating the celestial mirage of her attire. The gentle motions caused the design to flicker and twinkle, mimicking the sight of actual stars.
At the end of the aisle, the debutante seized the hem of her skirts as she flourished the lowliest of curtsies. There she was, Fiorenza Loretta Artemisia Emilia Carlotta Temperanza Caterina Varoche.
