Explanation
This skin is a depiction of The Bridge of Khazad-dûm, a scene from Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring.
In this scene, the wizard Gandalf the Grey challenges a Balrog, a demon-like creature of fire and shadow who has long slumbered in the depths of the Mines of Moria. With his staff Gandalf splinters the narrow bridge at their feet, allowing the other eight members of the Fellowship to pass unscathed, and as a result the Balrog plunges downward into the fathomless dark of Moria. However, as it falls the creature lashes its fiery whip about Gandalf's knees, dragging him also into the abyss.
(In the second book/cinema, it is told that Gandalf successfully smote the Balrog but died himself soon afterward. He was resurrected and borne back on the wings of an eagle, assuming the new identity Gandalf the White. In this form he has gained a new and immense power, but he prefers to veil this until necessary.)
