Backstory: (shortened/lesser detail)
At age 13, Cyrene found a kingdom that was in near ruin and made the decision to help re-build it. The old citizens of the kingdom moved back, happy and joyous and honoured that a child would be kind enough to do so much work. Seeing as the citizens of this kingdom lost their old king, queen, and other royal heirs to the throne, they decided that since Cyrene helped as much as he did that he'd be considered the "prince" of this kingdom (the people of the kingdom decided that one of the elders would be called the "king"/"queen" until Cyrene hit the age of 18).
Two years later when Cyrene was 15, something went wrong and ended in a devastating battle between both Cyrene's 'kingdom' and another neighbouring kingdom. This led to Cyrene being killed, but later 'brought back' by the strong magic of the world.
(The flowers in/on his back represent how he was killed, and where he was stabbed. He was later brought back to 'life' and tried to hide the fact that he had died in the first place. Seeing as he's now, in some senes, a 'ghost', he doesn't age and can't die of natural causes.)
