"It was many and many a year ago,
In a kingdom by the sea,
That a maiden there lived whom you may know
By the name of Annabel Lee;"
"Annabel Lee," Edgar Allan Poe
For centuries, the great city of Atlantis, filled with high class learning, philosophy, and culture, rose to power in an unknown area in the middle of a body of water. One day though, it sank into a shallow part of the bottom of the ocean. Hope seemed to be lost, until a new king rose in power; a king not human, but a creature of the sea, half human half fish. He used his trident to cast a spell at the Atlantans, giving them the ability of breathing underwater. King Neptune ruled for centuries, and the city grew prosperous alongside the evolving former humans. They seemed to evolve into half sea creatures as well, although without a tail, only gills (they still have lungs to breath above water), scaly skin, a pale blue or silver skin tone, and elf pointed ears. One day, King Neptune disappeared forever, leaving the panicked Atlantans without a ruler. An era of chaos followed by, alongside despair and destruction. Although, a speck of hope seemed possible for the people of the ocean, by the name, of Annabel Lee.
A few warriors and hunters in training considered her their commander, as they fought eight armed devils and stinging ghosts, who threatened unknown life above. But a threat shall once again challenge the existence of Atlantis, and alongside challenge the great Annabel Lee's skill.
One cold but sunny day awoken to a harpoon shot at the top of the sacred temple in Atlantis's centre. The shell was sounded, and more chaos came along. Families rode off on giant sea horses as individuals fought for weapons for self protection as they hid amongst the coral and rocks. Annabel Lee, living a good few miles away, could hear a faint echo of the shell, and rushed off with her narwhal horn spear on her horse as fast as she could, into the mass scene of chaos, as arrows rained down from the like it cam from angry gods. She rushed to help a few wounded ones, and came close to the surface, only to spot a massive shadow drop over her, a creature waiting to destroy them. Rounded rocks shot one by one, destroying the polished marble buildings and killing a few souls. Annabel Lee, terribly angry at the sight of her beloved city crushed, called for her army and the creatures of the ocean. Sharks, dolphins, gigantic schools of fish, and even eight armed devils rushed by her side as she yelled, "Charge!"
Pieces of the great object was torn off bit by bit, but unfortunately Annabel Lee fought as she watched brave souls die for their home. A creature, larger than the Atlantans dove in the crystal clear water. It wore, silver-like armour and had a shiny sword tied to his back. He killed many with his strength, and Annabel Lee, boiling with anger, charged right at it, slashing and tearing skin. The creature grew weak, but slashed at right at her eye, although not deep. It gave her a jab to her stomach, and she fell into the bottom of the sea. All the great warrior could do was just weep as fallen heroes came crashing down.
An unfortunate clam got stuck under a rock, and Annabel gently lifted the rock off of it. The clam gratefully opened up to reveal a mystical purple gem. It gleamed, and as Annabel Lee thanked the clam, she lifted it up and place it in a diamond shaped hole in her spear, and the simple weapons glistened and gleamed and turned into a staff. It gave her power and energy, and she rose up back to the fight. With all her might, she flashed her power to her enemy and killed it instantly. The massive object flee, and the remaining heroes cheered for their leader has saved Atlantis
Annabel Lee was crowned the first queen they had, and she ruled with wisdom, but still sneaked out to fight with her passion. Construction took place, and a memorial was built for the fallen brave souls in that battle. At night, an anonymous soul sneaked over and carved out one the white marble, "The Battle of the Great Annabel Lee."

"And so, all the night-tide, I lie down by the side
Of my darling--my darling--my life and my bride,
In her sepulchre there by the sea,
In her tomb by the sounding sea."
He killed her and stayed right next to her in her tomb......Edgar Allan Poe's mad :P
