The only thing that mattered in those dark ages of Uquirro. Water and magic. Witches and wizards ruled Uquirro with fear, casting curses of drought, death and more. No one defied them. No one except Aquarios. In Ricilli, the lake of blood and tears, Aquarios was born into this world. He was courageous and brave and strong but also stupid and proud. He overestimated himself and challenged the greatest wizard of all, Ricillian himself. Ricillian was known for his power, and behold, he brought forth a lake of his enemies' blood, tears and souls. Giving it the name of Ricilli. Everyone feared him. Aquarios relied on his brute strength and sharp tongue, not actually knowing what he was in for. Ricillian gave to Aquarios what he deserved. He cursed Aquarios to a life of suffering and damnation. The life of a dragon. Dragons were hated in Uquirro. They were weak and slow creatures, who were hunted till extinction. Aquarios thought--knew--this was the end. He went into hiding and never came back to face the world again. Luck smiled on him one day as the cave he was hiding in belonged to the enchantress, Kricia. She pitied him and they both struck a deal. If he showed ten acts of selfless courage and bravery, she will grant him his human self once again. As a dragon it was difficult, long and hard but he managed. Ten selfless acts. He was granted his old life again. Through the hardship of his dragon battles and life, he saw himself as insignificant compared to the vastness of his world. As a dragon he explored and wandered the endless space of Uquirro and found that strength might not be the only thing he needed. He developed real bravery and showed true courage and strength. Uquirro, with Aquarios' help, changed into something worth fighting for. The witches and wizards were banished and a new king was set up. Aquarios became the king's personal advisor and helped rule the land justly. The gods of Uquirro smiled down upon him as they watched him perform his tasks with no complaint and worry. They saw the likeness of a true warrior, a true hero, a true god. Kricia--as the gods had instructed--bestowed upon him immortality and he worked his way to be a god everyone would love. He became the god of water. The thing that mattered most. Water and magic.
