Before someone who knows what they're doing comments on the subject I'd like to say I do know this isn't actually "4-bit" hence the quotation marks, as far as I know 4-bit is to do with the colours an image can handle, not the resolution. This is a 32x16 skin scaled up for use in vanilla minecraft.
