so!! here is an alien!! the head is maybe an upside-down fishbowl?? or a bubble of mucus?? just something the plant was able to pick up to make itself look like an astronaut?? whatever it is they pasted petals onto it and have wound a flower over it 2 make it look like a face :o
and bod is. hmm i’m not sure but it could be uhhhh like birch bark?? or maybe it’s like the way wasps make their nests so it’s just a bunch of plant stuff pasted together into a human-like body, with the vines controlling the way the whole thing moves. the vine/flower bits are the alien bits, everything else they've gotta carry with them

they’re not super strong/smart on their own, and not even a little bit fast, but if there’s a whole bunch of them in an area and someone happens to come into that area, they’ll trap ‘em with their vines!! also it does that thing plants do where they communicate through roots!! so basically it is a hivemind and it wants fertilizer :) so if even one spots an astronaut all. of them know the astronaut’s there and will try 2 trap/overwhelm it :o
(this is fun i think because if like. a ship parks on their planet and the astronauts sleep in their ship, by the next day the entire ship could just be. covered in sentient vines trying to get into the ship. which would be an efficient way to do astronaut murders!!!)
(maybe their thinking is that like. maybe at some point one of the astronauts will open the door to their ship. and then they can all. very slowly . creep into the ship and do murders)
