Ah, Bakugan. One of the very staples of my childhood back in 4th-6th grade. If you didn't have any of these at my school, you weren't cool. You were that one lonely soul who played basketball all day by themselves while everyone else launched their spinning tops into plastic containers and threw plastic spheres onto magnetic cards without a care in the world. The biggest arguments we had back then weren't about the shoes you wore or the grades you had, but were arguments of whether or not the math of a Bakugan's G-Power total was correct or if a Bakugan trade was fair or a huge scam. While Bakugan was still popular, one of my favorites that I still have to this day was a white little Preyas who I nicknamed, "The Crystal Preyas," and this was before Steven Universe was a thing! It's real name was "Pearl Aquos Preyas," but I didn't care! I still loved the crap out of it and brought it to school with me every day. Though, Wavern, Dragonoid (regular and delta versions), and Spitarm were also my top favorites, I lost them halfway through the journey, probably hidden in my house somewhere. But somehow in present day 2018, I still have most of my Bakugan and that singular Crystal Preyas, just to show how much I'm really dedicated to this franchise. Just like Beyblades, I'm hoping a reboot will come around soon to not just touch the hearts of nostalgic fans of the Battle Brawlers series, but the future generations of children who will cherish these Bakugan like friends 'till the end. Keep brawling, my fellow brawlers... Just keep on brawling.
