The inestimable, irreproachable, Baron Karl Friedrich Hieronymus von MÃ¼nchhausen! The man, the myth, the movie - here in his appearance from the eponymous movie by Terry Gilliam. (If you don't know it or haven't seen it, go look it up!) As a true historical and literary figure, the Baron was infamous for stretching the truth and the fantastically embellished accounts of his adventures, which he nonetheless firmly believed and proclaimed to be absolutely true. In Gilliams film, you get to see all of the Baron's fantasy brought to life. If you can get past the early-80's vibe, the movie is a visual feast, equal parts comedy, commentary, and adventure, tinged with just a hint of disturbing nightmare (the appearance of the grim reaper coming at the Baron will creep you out for days).

Very well done!
I had this movie in my head for years, just bits and pieces of it, like the Robin Williams moon guy and the girl and the younger older version of him but I had no idea what the movie was called and wanted to see it again. A few years ago I finally came across the title on accident!

I love it when that happens - when there's been something in the back of your mind for years and you suddenly come it again and all the memories flood back.

I still highly recommend watching Baron von Munchausen. It's kind of slow paced by today's standards, but visually it's just so darn interesting to watch. If you like it, I suggest watching other films by the director, Terry Gilliam, who was part of the Monty Python comedy group.

My personal favorites of his, other than the Baron, are Brazil (the full "directors cut" version) and 12-Monkeys. Some bizarre but utterly fascinating visual storytelling with some really deep themes that stick with you. Have Fun!

I've like looked through all of your skins and they are all literally so good okay like, wow. I wish i had something a little more convincing to say in terms of "but really guys their skins are actually amazing please go and flood them with diamonds", but i don't really have the capability to articulate these things with justice, so have a more or less pointless comment idk fdskjhdsf

Glad you like my skins! I'm actually ok with not being flooded with diamonds - sure, it'd be nice to see that happen, but i'm quite content to operate sort of in the background here on PMC. I don't really have as much time as i would like to devote to builds or texture packs (or even skinning for that matter!) but i'm happy if i can turn out a skin or two each month. Though I do wish people would leave more comments :) it's always nice to know if people are enjoying and/or using the skins and having fun.

BTW, i've subscribed to you. You're making great, quality skins - can't wait to see wha you come up with next!
