The lore:

Beta Muth is a 46 year old being, they were the 697th sinner to be cursed with the mask.

Beta was married to their wife of 26 years, before their 11th anniversary Beta discovered their wife was having many different affairs, these affairs spanned 17 years olf their marriage, Betas ex wife Marissa had been sleeping with many different women and men, it started after Beta had been discovered to be impotent. Marissa wanted to have a baby but Beta couldn't provide. Marissa had cheated on him and gotten pregnant and made him believe that it was through IVF
Also made him believe that it was his own child when it was some random man's.

Beta and Marissa's twins did not in fact belong to Beta but they belong to Marcus D'loris, Betas boss

After beta discovered this Marissa filed for divorce and took everything including the children from beta Marcus being the longest partner of Marissa's decided to fire beta, beta later became a lumberjack to try and making some money but due to all of his pent-up anger he ended up killing one of his clients having a taste for blood he later ended up killing Marcus and every single one of the people Marissa had slept with how he found them nobody knows.

Marissa discovered this and had the church perform a ritual upon beta to punish him for being a sinner the mask was placed upon beta and he later went on to kill his wife and left his children to live knowing that it wasn't their fault.

Beta is not sexist however they in fact have a preference to kill women due to all of the trauma and heartache Marissa had caused, they do kill men however they prefer killing Unfaithful men and women.
They have the ability to tell if a person is on faithful how it works we are currently unsure....

The military had apprehended beta after he broke into a military Air Force Base his intentions for that Air Force Base were unknown but he killed three people within the base due to them being unfaithful to their partners it was then apprehended by the military base
