One of the best games on the NES IMHO. Blaster Master featured a character named Jason who follows his pet frog Fred down a hole in the ground, finds a badass super tank, and fights radioactive mutants and robots.
I loved this game when I was a kid, and now I share my best rendition of the main character as seen in the topdown portion of the game. I thought about trying some shading but then decided to stay true to it's origin and keep the 3 color simple sprite.
I checked the skin section and Titan2001 did a wonderful version of Jason as depicted in the 2D side scrolling portion of the game. www.planetminecraft.com/skin/sophie-the-third/
The art styles for the game change slightly, depending on what part of the game you're playing. I thought I would present an alternative.
